We just can’t get enough of it.
Turtles and tortoises chasing dogs, trying to eat in peace, giving various animals rides, and more.
Too many people think turtles and tortoises are boring. That’s just not true! They’re not cuddly by any means. But they can definitely be fun!
Do your boxies or other turtle/tortoises do any of these things? If you have furry pets along with your turtles, do they try to play with each other?
I have had several box turtles, one I had for 45 years. He lived outside and in the cold days I brought him inside, I live in San Diego, CA so it does not freeze. When he came inside at night he had a house he would go into to sleep. In the mourning, if I didn’t get up on time he would slam into the back door with his shell to tell me he wanted out. He had acees to a pond, he liked to swim, and a 20 by 6 foot atrium to live in. Most important, make sure they get enough calium in their diet. I feed him raw shrimp with the shells on. Also a variety of fruits and veggies. Of course he liked snails. He was about 65 years old, and one night a Bobcat must of got him. He knew his name and would respone when called.
